Shut up, it's still summer.
Must make recipes before the summer ends, Amazon storefront favs, Benny content and what Brocc’s Book Club is reading this month.

There are two types of people: the people who think August is peak summer (me) and people who think it’s the beginning of fall. I’m always on the summer forever train, but honestly this year I’m not going to lie, I am looking forward to fall. That is not to say I am not fully embracing the insane summer produce and beach weather, but yeah I’m excited to throw on a sweater and light up my fireplace in a month or so.
I will always remember this summer for being the first as a New York Times Best Selling Author, a dog mom to Benny and fiancé to Corey. It has been so incredibly special. I have also made so many fun recipes the last couple months and had to put together a list of must makes before we get into the cozy fall recipe routine.
I have about 3 more summer recipes I’m finishing up this week before switching over to fall content (these won’t be on the blog until well into September don’t worry), so embrace them while you can!
Most Loved Summer Recipes

Passion Fruit Margarita: Inspired by one of our summer vacations to Sayulita, this margarita truly tastes like a tropical beach vacation (even if you’re just drinking it on your patio).
Smashed Potato Salad: This side disappeared first at every party I took it to. Everyone loves a crispy potato.
Chicken Teriyaki Skewers & Shaved Carrot Salad: This has been my Friday night go to recipe when we aren’t feeling going out for dinner but still want something that feels more special than my usual weeknight rotation.
Grilled Veggie Pasta Salad: Nothing screams perfection quite like a pasta salad made with fresh grilled veggies and herbs from the farmers market in the summertime. It’s also perfect for prepping for the week. You will thank yourself later.
Simple Grilled Steak Salad: I’ll be honest, this one is going to be a year round recipe, but you have to TRY it while it is still summer so you can join the rest of us in our obsession with this protein-packed salad with drinkable dressing.
Strawberry Streusel Muffins: Sometimes you start your baking era in the midst of the summer heat and if so, these are for you. They are also for you if you have never baked in your life because they are so easy and delicious.
Other honorable mentions from Seriously, So Good: Dad’s Oven Baked Ribs (page 177), Coconut Fish Tacos with Mango Salsa (page 79), Spicy Rosé Spritz (page 219), Elote Nachos (page 38), Mom’s Smash Burgers with Mac Sauce (page 143) and No Bake Key Lime Pie with Pretzel Crust (page 236).
Other honorable mentions from the blog: The Best BBQ Chicken, Brown Butter S’Mores Rice Krispies, Grilled Veggie Sandwich, Sticky Shrimp Lettuce Cups and Crunchy Chopped Salad with Jalapeño Lime Ranch.
Things you actually need from Amazon

I always try to keep my Instagram updated with links to what I am using and loving, but it’s all organized in my Amazon Storefront for you in detail. Filled with things I actually use, and none that will collect dust in the back of your cabinet. Use the search bar or click a folder to find everything from the pots and pans I use, to what I use to curl my hair, to the Kindle I use for Brocc’s Book Club! Speaking of Book Club…
Brocc’s Book Club!
I’ve heard amazing things about The God of the Woods by Liz Moore and I’m about 20% of the way through and LOVING it. It has a summer camp nostalgia, but also feels a bit spooky which is the perfect summer to fall transition book. I’m fully hooked! Stay tuned for my full review at the end of the month on @broccsbookclub on IG. Can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks!
